It is a lovely song especially when the kids are very active and energetic. All walking, hopping, running, tiptoeing activities can be done while standing steady on their mats. During swimming, the kids can lie on their tummies for the swimming pose as the next pose will be lying down for a sleep.

Walking walking. Walking walking. (Lift up opposite leg and arm at the same time.)
Hop hop hop. Hop hop hop. (Jump!)
Running running running. Running running running. (Run on your mat.)
Now let’s stop. Now let’s stop. (Mountain Pose)
Walking walking. Walking walking.
Hop hop hop. Hop hop hop.
Running running running. Running running running.
Now let’s stop. Now let’s stop.
Tiptoe tiptoe. Tiptoe tiptoe. (Tiptoeing)
Jump jump jump. Jump jump jump.
Swimming swimming swimming. (Either on your tummy or standing overarm swimming)
Swimming swimming swimming.
Now let’s sleep. Now let’s sleep.
Wake up!
It’s time to go!
Are you ready to go fast?
Okay!
Walking walking. Walking walking.
Hop hop hop. Hop hop hop.
Running running running. Running running running.
Now let’s stop. Now let’s stop.
Walking walking. Walking walking.
Hop hop hop. Hop hop hop.
Running running running. Running running running.
Now let’s stop. Now let’s stop.
Whew!
I love sitting crisscross and place my hands on my heart to listen to my heart rate at the end of this song, in my kids yoga classes. It is also a very useful interoception activity for kids. All you need to do is to allow them to recognize important internal cues.
